Now Ben has made an appearance on this thread perhaps he can answer this peculiar question about the Metisse.

The advertising appears to state it can run in on either CO2 or air. However those people who have guns have been told it is air only! Part of the attraction of this gun was the duel fuel ability!
Is it or is it not capable of running on either CO2 or HPA, or is it a rifle that will run on CO2 or a rifle that runs on HPA?

It appears that you must specify one or the other and that you cannot run it off co2 one week and then refill with air the next. This is contrary to my initial understanding and what was implied in the mags initially...

Infact, look at the video by TD. It seemed that at the time it was meant to be duel source. Its a shame that it isnt.

Not sure if the photos of the Matisse that one of the members was kind enough to put up for me on another thread will be of any help to any one.

If it was me, I would demand my money back. 2.3k for a 9.6 ft/lb rifle is a total p__ s take !

What are the laws surrounding a Co2 and HPA air rifle?
I was wondering if it can only be one or the other due to legislation?

His last 'appearance' on this thread was nine months ago, very quiet since.

Will keep you all posted on how I get on.
I wouldn't dare warn you of buying this gun , but give it a lot of thought , it's a huge amount of money , for the same or even less , you can get a custom built rifle , that's made to measure.
It' not what I expected it do be .
Surface to say I won't do it again .
Custom made for me from now on ( if I can ever afford one againe )
To some it's not there cup of tea , some hate it , but a very few love it , and if that's what they want it , let them enjoy it.

Best of luck with that mate, £2300 is a lot of dosh but if you were happy with the gun then it is money well spent, even if the gun is put right it will always feel slightly cheated.

Sad to think that with all the attention to the design, manufacture, the quality of the components, they did not think to invest £50 in a Combro and check the damned power!
