Just in case anybody might be interested in what the results were for our first competition of the year I thought I'd post the results.

Sunday 18th March. Entrants ranged from Teenage to very 'mature' 60+, all competing on level ground.

We first worked our way through the Air Pistol competition with a ten-shots-in 5-minutes offhand shoot at 7 metres.

In Joint Second Place were Bob Gillet and Richard Thorpe each with a score of 84, which was pretty good when you consider they were both using borrowed pistols.
But the Winner was old "Sureshot", himself, Robert McWhirter. Well done, Rob!

We then moved on to the Air Rifle Competition which was a ten-shots-in-5-minutes shoot at 25 metres and this one produced some impressive results.
There was a tie for Third Place between Sue Robinson and, much to his surprise, the Chairman, Ned Larkin, each with a score of 99.

Because Derek Sowter and young Michael Gillet both carded 100 a shoot-off was required.
To increase the challenge they both changed rifles to "Springers" and also changed target types.
(can't seem to post the target piccy)

The eventual winner was Derek with a score of 44 to Michael's 42.

A "Well Done" to both shooters and a reward for the "old and bold" of the Club to see one of our younger members competing so well.
