    "Ackvoke Pistol"

Any one shoot their Accles & Shelvokes (forgive spelling)
I've a nice .177 example the Father-in-Law gave me and its a bit tricky to shoot.

    Well made though !

What you got Bridder? A 'The Warrior' One of the side lever cocking concentric ones?
LOL, I don't have one but I wish I did!

    John

I've seen yours John and it's a beauty

    (Ooer missus )

I'm hoping to add a Warrior to my pistol collection but it will be at the end of a long list of guns that I will be buying first, namely, a gorgeous Webley Vulcan, A very nice HW90, a couple of BSA Airsporter clubs and a couple of Original mod50's

EDIT-Doh!!!- I meant Acvoke but I'd like one of each anyhow

    Cheers, John

I used to have an Acvoke. I'd wanted one ever since first seeing one in an early Airgun World "Collectors Corner" article sometime in the 70s or 80s. I finally got one a couple of years ago, it was in nice condition, but had a broken main spring. I managed to get hold of a new, old stock spring and got it working again.
I have to admit to being slightly underwhelmed with it's performance. It was not nearly as good as my Webley Senior or Mk1, both of which are from around the same time period. I sold it not long afterwards.
Is the Warrior better than the Acvoke?
The South of England has 2 good things, the M1 and the A1. Both will take you to Yorkshire.

No, IMHO the Warrior is worse than the Acvoke, and my view on the Acvoke coincides with the above. I have both and to my mind they are collectors` curios rather than serious shooters.
