    Primers

    Well, it would seem that some of you have purchased CCI primers recently at well under £40- per 1000, I would have thought that the Sportsman shop where I purchased mine, being a very large business would have been able to be competitive, evidently not!

    My local rfd was selling (which I bought) CCI 400's for £39/1000 which I bought, then enroute to Coventry payed Norman Clarke's as visit in Rugby £31.74/1000, their powder was marginally cheaper too.

    Currently using Federal large rifle & pistol. Reliable and both just over £30 per 1000.

    If any of you are passing through Reading or get to Bisley I have spare primers from a massive purchase I made last year.
    These are whats left over after the club "gannets" had their share!
    There are standard small and large rifle and pistol primers.
    A mix of Magtech,CCI but predominently Fiocchi.
    The Fiocchi small pistol primers will be the cheapest you will get!
    There arent loads of these,about 5 or 6k of each.
    Also have several 1000 shotgun primers.
    I have enough to keep me going for a good few years now!

    Moi too aussi, 205 & 210s and I buy a decent batch when my stock drops below about 3000 of each.

    Well from your replies it would appear that the Sportsman shops are putting a very very large mark up on Primers

    Hi Crowman .I bought some CCI br small rifle primers on the 15/2 this year for only £31.74.

    Looks like they have gone up quite a bit since then

    Recently bought a large stock of "Gynex" primers for my club...worked out at £25 a thousand in bulk...no problems with them so far...made in Bosnia!

    Just had a chap pick me a box of federal premium gold LR for £34. A local shop wanted £38

    Sellier and Bellot at the NRA centre £28 per thousand....fine for .303
