new member in Gloucestershire

Hello all - just joined up - have had an absence of an air rifle in my life or 20 years but feel that the time is right to get one as I am set to be moving to a much more rural location

Can't justify the cost of a PCP as I'll only be using occasionally round the local farmer's fields, so have set my heart on what was my childhood dream, an hw77.

I've seen plenty around on the internet selling sites but none within my limited budget (low) presumably these hold onto their value well as they are well made and last?

Am I doing myself a disservice by wanting not to spend too much as will that mean I probably end up with a ropey example?

Whats the feeling from those in the know on here as to an appropriate amount to spend on a good example?

Buy the best rifle that you can afford and I would suggest that you need to see it first as you don't want to get sold something that will coat you more money.
