Ox spring will break for rifle, and a Titan won't titans are good springs used them a few times. Saw loads of mates gun like mercurys and air sporters destroyed by ox springs mate. Very harsh. Atvb rob

2 x seals-- i think there seals not sure though, 1 is red 1 is blue??

I thought ox springs were square and titan round.

I know in direct comparison to the hw97 square spring the titan I put in my mates gun was a lot quieter and smoother with no vibe.

I think they put a low friction type coating on the titans, well this one had a coating anyway.

The farmers lad on a farm I shoot once put an ox spring in his gun, and it just made it very jumpy on firing not what I would call a tuned set up at all, probably why Ive always shot more than him on his own land.

I think the best thing to do is either buy a standard spring for your gun or a quality round one and like said the v mach type are top quality.

Titan XS springs are used in a lot of tune kits. OX springs go into many bins.

From Jim Maccari @ airrifleheadquarters? You should get a UK spec spring by default IME, though not sure with this package. Heavy tar is spring lubricant.

Regarding the E3650 spring. It's a multi gun fit what it fits job, made by Jim Macarri.

Just put a Titan XS in a SMK TH208 yesterday.
Precut to size, plus tophat & x2 thinnest slip washers above & X2 thin power bands on the spring guide.
There is ZERO preload on the spring & this produces 11.41 fpe with 16 grain FX pellets.
Add about 5mm of preload to the spring & it produced 13 fpe (needless to say it's been set back to 11.4)
No need for a spring compressor.
This rifle actually makes legal power with ease because of a 28mm dia compression chamber, so the Titan has an easy time of it.
However, the difference between Titan & Ox is like the difference between a Rolls Royce & a 30 yr old Landrover. They'll both get you there but one will jar your fillings loose during the journey
