    Question Which Scope Mag 44 Or Ags Swat ?

    hi im getting a new scope and cant make my mind up ? its between 2 a simmons 44 mag mil dot target turets etc or wait till april when new AGS swat comes out 4-16 x 56 or the bit smaller version the one with illuminated ret mil dots please help as im going round bend keep swapping from one to another i will be using on my AA S410 TDR for mainly hunting and abit of paper target shooting cheers for help paul

    IMHO, i think you would be better off with the new ags swat! It will have better light intake that the simmons! from the 30mm tube and the 56mm obj lens!

    Also on the simmons mag 44 range the mildot spaces are huge! ! so if your using a .177 you probably wont need to use the dots!

    I have the Simmons 6-20X 44Mag and the 2 different SWAT scopes 3-12X44 and 4-16X56.
    They are all excellent scopes but the SWAT scopes win due to the sidewheel.
    Optics are on par as is build quality.
    The SWAT scopes are bigger and heavier due to the 30mm tubes...overall the SWAT scopes feel more solid and more ready to take some abuse.

    My favourite is the 3-12X44SWAT...it has really clean lines and is a nice size, especially for HFT

    The SWAT scopes are milled out of a solid aluminium billet, Not 3 or more pieces screwed together, nice and strong

    thanks guys just what i needed so good advise i wait for the new AGS swat then with the ill ret i might go for the smaller of to AGS thanks again paul
