    Hw45.20

I'm getting one of these as I like the calibre in rifles.

Does anyone have one of these and what do they reckon?

Yes I do and I love it, bought it as a .177 and got a replacement barrel.

For me or for you? I had one in .177 and was great but sold it. Wish I hadn't but it did recoil abit harshly but then was still newish when I sold it so wasn't bedded in. Larger cals will be better BUT I'm a fan of .20 big time. Never really considered .22 myself.

By the way, Sportsman told me that this pistol is also available in .25 even though not advertised in this cal. They spoke to their importers. This would be interesting?

Yes I always go through a chap called Mike at Newport who will send to my gunsmith who is a registered RFD. Costs me nothing.

Sportsman always give me great service and prices. Bought most of my guns and kit through them.

As for pistil, £225 for the Black Star. Have seen other vendors selling it for £275+

What what what?!?! A Hw45 in .25? That would just be awesome!

Tuned, that would be 380fps with Pylarms giving a respectable trajectory over pistol ranges with massive can launching potential.

I don't think so. Why bother-.25 is an FAC calibre and legal limit .25 is a waste of lead. NOBODY on this site has been able to tell me what .25 legal limit RIFLE can do that .22 cannot. What a .25 PISTOL could do just eludes me. At 12 ft lb the droop is crazy so droop at 4 ft lb would be.......dropping out of the end of the barrel. Even at 6 ft lb-my HW45 in .177 chrono's at 4-the droop would make the pistol a novelty without much use.

What can .22 do that .20 cannot? What can .20 do that .177 cannot?

No, you're right! We should all use the same calibre.
