You'll have lots of fun customising and shooting the Ratcatcher.

The G-Mac site is packed with lots of tempting goodies and the service from Gordon is excellent.

To me, the BIG MUST HAVE is the steel breech kit. This is the basic building block of any self-respecting custom 2240/2250/2260.
The trigger kit is reportedly very good. I'm yet to go for one of these just yet, but I think I will be doing in due course.
A lot of the other things are more blingy, and I personally don't really do bling, but, hey, there are no rights and wrongs. It's your gun, buddy, just enjoy making it the gun that you want.

Possibly a silencer at some point?

Oh, and plenty of CO2, as you'll not want to put it down!!

I agree the breech has to be the first upgrade.

Any idea what kind of power they put out standard and what can be achieved without lengthening the barrel?

Yeah I think I'll add a silencer at some point

Standard maybe 7/8/9? (bearing in mind a single gun will vary 1 ft/lb depending on temp etc.)

With a steel breech with hollow probe, new transfer port seal, new hammer and valve springs, and a modified or new valve, you can get up to high 10/ low 11?
Anything more will need a longer barrel. Barrel length seems to be more critical for CO2 guns to attain full power than air. Fitting a massive barrel to these seems to miss the point though...

The big failings of the 22xx are the breech and the trigger, get those sorted and everything else can be tinkered with to get the results you want.

By the time you have finished blinging your ratty you will know it inside out, and be able to reassemble it in your sleep. It's a very simple gun.
There are a few tricks though, here's a couple: Do not take the trigger group side plate off until you have unscrewed the whole handle/trigger block from the gun. You will see a tiny little spring on top of the unit between it and the CO2 tube. Take this spring out, and at the bottom is the tiniest ball bearing in the world, actng on the detent in the safety.
    Keep it safe.
If you take the side plate off first while the safety spring is under tension there is a high probability you will never see this ball bearing again

The other thing is the tiny breech screw under the bolt - this is the smallest allen key fitting you have ever seen. Get an appropriate allen key from gmac when you get your breech, and invest in a slot headed version of this screw (also from gmac).
    No fool is gun-proof.

Good deals with: danny20, dexter151, krazy_horse, UPINSMOKE, and a couple of others I have forgotten

If you talk to Gordon at gmac, he'll make you up a muzzle fip that unscrews halfway down leaving a thread for a silencer.
