    Match: Airgun vs .22LR

    Hi all,

Yesterday we had another 100m contest. Airguns and .22LR participated. They come close.

Hi, what's the difference between the KKK and KKG classifications please? It would be interesting to know the muzzle velocities of the air rifles too.

I like the translations! "This dick shot the smallest group of KKK (19mm)".

    Good beer afterwards, just perfect.

    Many thanks for posting.

    Very interesting images.
Your rifle ranges have very good facilities and look comfortable.Presumably they are also heated ?

    Hi,

@Mick, KKK is small caliber carbine. KKG is small caliber rifle. Both in .22LR.

@Graham, some of our ranges are heated.

    Thanks for your reply.
I think we will soon loose our indoor range that used to be a WW2 Bunker to property developers who say they will not be able to sell homes with a .22 rifle range in the middle even though it is underground !
The fact that many houses are nearby seems to make any difference.
In fact the owners of these houses are mainly unaware there is a rifle range in the bunker.
The bunker has to be preserved as it is a listed historical building.
The pupils from the school used to shoot on the sandy beach in front of the school but it has become a vast tidal marsh.
The government used to provide the school with .303 Martin Rifles and ammunition as part of the Cheshire Volunteer movement from 1859 onwards.
It was part of a private school which has just closed down.

    Hi all

What time does it take that airguns are producing better groups then .22LR at 100m/110yards. Half a year? 2 years? More? Never?
