I'm good for July 1st, the 8th is currently out for me though.
I dont need FAC air though I have a slot.
My 100 has done for more quarry sub 12 than the powders anyway though the powders have legs where air is personal.
If I have a few days off, i can come down and help set up if you like Terry.
I need to get away form things for a bit.
Damn this accursed slydexier, deslixia, slesdex-e-her. Well damn it anyway
Right Lads, this shoot is definately "ON", I went and had a word with the farmer Tony, and his good Lady Jo this afternoon, and we have his blessing.
Everything is as my initial thread, "The date is.. Saturday the 7th of July 2012" I have to specify a date so as people can arrange there shifts/ work/ and social events accordingly, this is why I put it 6 weeks away so people have enough time to organise wether they can make it.
FAC Air is welcome as long as you have open ticket, I am sorry some can't make it due to work. So far we have....
Pete, (Snock).
Steyr (Si)
TonyK.)
Rich, (Snock the Elder).
Bigjob, (Gra)
TheWildething (Marcus).
Tomohawkss (Andy).
RTillyer (Ray)
Any member of the BBS is welcome to come along and join us, and you can bring a shooting buddy with you just add yourself with a post to this thread.
You will need good wellington boots (cow crap) a torch, over and above your shooting lamp. WARM clothing, and gloves it gets damned cold at night down here "even in July" especially if you are not moving to much.
Arrive between 1 and 2pm on the Saturday and I can walk you around the farm, if you fancy zeroing prior to the evening shoot I will arange targets for you in a safe area in the field we will be staying on.
I won't be shooting for a few reasons, one is! someone needs to be available for any situation that may arrise, secondly I will be responsible for the food. (need I say more).
There are farm dogs around, these DO NOT BITE, growl a bit, but you will be ok. I will shortly put up the address and post code so you can google map it.
If I have missed anything I am sure you will let me know.
ATVB TERRY.

Although I still walk softly with a big "STICK" I firmly believe the carrot works best,
I have open ticket for everything I have (including my FAC rapid), and I love shootin' rats.
Will check my calendar tomorrow.![]()
*** Warning the Graham brothers in the Cheltenham area scamming ***
The Graham brothers are sill actively scamming people. Do not send money or your gun to anyone in the Cheltenham area of Gloucestershire. Only deal with anyone in this area face to face.
Never send payment via paypal to anyone living in this area. He may claim the gun must have got lost in the post and tell you to claim back from paypal.
When paypal find out it was a gun, you won't be getting anything back.

Can I strongly suggest you DO NOT Put the details on the board, but pm them to those attending.
Unless you have the Landowners specific permission to do so, as they may not want their details on the Forum.
We wouldn't put our own addresses on here, so why theirs?
Good luck with the rest of the organisation.![]()
"Improvise, adapt and overcome."
I can count to potato.
That's probably me out then, I've requested the 7th and 8th with a plea that it would be nice to have a date I actually want granting for once.
Fingers crossed.
I think Shebbear will have at least one club member wishing to take part in the rat shoot and if numbers are low, we could probably entice others who don't do any vermin stuff to come along for the social side and if the landowner agrees they could have an impromptu dump shoot.

Well I hadn't thought of that but it might be fun.
We could bring ten knock down targets and have a comp, all to be shot three times and you score 3 points if you take them standing, 2 for kneeling and 1 for freestyle, and you can choose your own position.![]()

Rich,
With all due respect, their won't be enough time for competition shooting, just a simple zeroing session, for all Rat shooters. By the time we have walked the farm, sorted where everyone needs to be, for safe shooting, the afternoon will be gone, then there will be time for food, and off to positions, in daylight/dusk into dark. For anyone who wishes to stay on after some Sunday morning grub, the rats are still around, so is carrion, and other feathered grain stealers.
I will stay on, on the Sunday, should enough interest be shown in carrying on for the day clearing up farm pests.
