Airgun Digest 3rd Ed, and Walter's book, Howa info request.

Does anyone have a copy of Airgun Digest 3rd edition, that they could scan (or photocopy) page 222 for me. I would like to see what info was published in there about the Howa 55-G co2 rifle.

Also if anyone could tell me what info is in the John Walters book for the 55-G that would be appreciated.

I'm on the search for a Howa 55-G if anyone hears of one for sale, in UK or overseas, I'd appreciate a heads up.

Information sought about antique firearms with Japanese markings, do you have one ?

Hi, there is half a page about the Howa in the Walters book.

I've photographed it, and it reads fine on my screen.

If you'd like to shoot me an email, I'll reply attaching the photo.

My thanks to rickenbacker, johnbaz, canman, and harvey_s for for helping me with information, now I've just got to find one for sale.

I've missed out on one that came up for sale in Tokyo in 5.5mm with a price ticket of 52500JPY (approx £420). I've also seen an old online Japanese advert for a 4.5mm sold in 2009. I'll be checking out what's required to ship one from Japan so that I'm ready with the information if (and when) I'm lucky enough to find another for sale.

Of course it would be a lot easier if I could find one for sale in the USA, but American collectors are reluctant to part with theirs.

    good luck

In all of my 63 years on this Earth I have never seen a Howa 55-G in the flesh. I believe it to be a mythical beast, somewhat akin to an Income Tax Rebate ( never seen one of those either). But
If anyone can track one down it is you George. So good luck in your quest and remember, .. it is on my bucket list to fire a Howa 55-G , so don`t forget me......oh and don`t take too long.!!!!!!!

    Petye.
