Chinese Air Rifles - How long?

Does anybody possibly know exactly how long China has been making these,

I thought they were within the last 10 - 15 years until I found my uncles which he claims to have had since the late seventies.

Don't take it out in the wet, or the compressed cow dung piston will break up and you'll be left firing a shower of sh!te

i had a second hand B2 in 1975 ,it was better made than the ones you get now ,,the stock was just varnished and looked nice ..now the are painted brown to cover all the filler that is in them .as i remember the barrel lock and cylinder were very well machined and blacked ,,and an accurate gun too .
i could shoot a matchbox out 35 yards with it's open sights ..
dont think you could shoot barn door with a new one ..still some new ones must be shootable ..

my mum paid £8 for that gun for me ..allot of money back then for a B2 ,, come to think of it that would be allot of money now for a B2

Dunno why, but whenever someone mentions the B2, I start to picture a stealth bomber. It's being a none smoker thats doing it honest.

they have been around for years, I had one in the late 80's which had been handed down to my mate from his dad, had a manual barrel catch and was better than the lion .22 I bought in 1997 ( complete crap)

They are a gamble in quality, ranging from crap to festering crap. Some are unshootable (is that a word?). Finishing is poor, metal has a rough finish, metal on metal contact... Mine is good for mangling tin cans in the back yard and thats it. It has also had about 3-4 thousand pellets through it, I think I must have got one that no-quality control missed because it still works.

No worries until no-quality control is made redundant
