Crossman 1322

Just acquired a 1322 pumper.....as its best to leave air in a pcp when stored to preserve the seals, would it be adviseable to store the 1322 with just one pump in it for the same reason ?

I've stored mine that way for about 30 years, apart from regularly adding drop of oil to the pump slot it hasn't required maintenance yet
