I'm going to buck the trend here. I spent a wet afternoon yesterday trying different pellets in my 0.177 pistol. My 0.177 version finds Superdomes too tight and the velocity spread is the widest of all the pellets I've tried.

I found the best average power with Wasp (Av 549fps, 4.94ftlb, spread 11fps), but most consistency with AA diablo Field (Av 508fps, 4.81ftlb, spread 3fps). The others were Superdomes (Av 470, 4.08ftlb, spread 22fps), H+N FTT (Av 488fps, 4.56ftlb, spread 21fps), Hobby (Av 541fps, 4.55ftlb, spread 16fps).

Interestingly I have recently bought a .22 barrel which I put on the same action and tested in the same session. That absolutely loves Superdomes (Av 401fps, 5.18ftlb, spread 3fps)- the others tested were H+N FTT (Av 387, 4.9ftlb, spread 20fps) and AAField (Av 371, 4.9ftlb, spread 9fps)

Also shows that the larger calibre is generally more efficient, but for at least my .177 barrel the pellet choice is a huge deciding factor- nearly a whole ftlb difference between brands. Getting recommendations is a good start, but the experiments I've done have hammered home to me how 'picky' some guns can be.

It's a good barrel that .22 one you see rich.

    It also like rws hobbys.

Yes indeed! Interesting to compare the feel of the different calibres with no other variables- the .22 has a more solid 'thunk' feel, with what seems to be a touch of muzzle flip. What I didn't get chance to play with was accuracy... that'll wait for another rainy day
