Impressively quiet with the new HW silencer. The action itself is quieter than everything but a Daystate MK3. The magazine, single shot adaptor and trigger are very impressive. But for all that I still wouldn't buy one, especially in the standard issue. I'm just not keen on the stock or the removeable cylinder. That said if you get one fitted with an Air Arms cylinder (with quickfill) and plonk it in one of Paul Wilsons stocks you have a stonking rifle.
The problem with all that is that a 500 quid gun has just mutated into a 900 quid gun.

i have one in fac and find it excellant. Quiet and powerful it has a great magazine and action that is foolproof and a good trigger. The finish and wood quality are very good. The silencer as previously mentioned must be one of the best currently available. Pellet fussy but shoots aa field pellet on pellet. Said to have a regulator it is certainly very consistent (12 fps over the whole charge) In my opinion even with the extra expense of some after market alterations such as the rplacement air cylinder it would be still good value in comparison to the competition. The down side for some people may be the comb height and scope rail. I use a low scope so it isnt a problem for me but with the sporter stock i wouldnt want to use mounts higher than sportsmatch low. As the scope obj doesnt clear the front of the action (for my set up) it rather limits scope choice. You would need to check fit for yourself. hth
when there's lead in the air there's hope!

    Hw100

    Hi there,

I had a Mk1 - loved the cricket-bat thumbhole stock - hated removing the bottle to recharge - couldn't get on with the noise it made from the "silencer" and I kept getting too many flyers [albeit in .22] so I part-ex'd it for an MFR.

However, I've had a MkII Sporter-stocked model for a few months now - it's whisper quiet - that HW sweet trigger is even sweeter - the cocking action is about the best I've ever used - I've put a BAR quickfill cylinder on it which makes recharging a piece of cake - I love the new stock as I like to shoot thumb-up and the single-shot adapter works like a charm. Overall impression is pretty outstanding and it shoots like a charm [.177 and no flyers]

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers

I have the "mk1" version in .22 I removed the origional (non efective ) silencer, machined a logun silencer meant for a rapid 7, so that it fitted the barrel and that solved the noise problem, the cocking mechanism is easy quiet and actually works? the magazine (you get two) is a quality item no plastic face plates to break etc, as for the filling method? I have found it absolutely no problem in fact I find it a prefarable method? just wished the cylinder was a bit lighter!!! as for the stock again love or hate its appearance? but its a dream to actually hold?
oh and mine is zero.d at 40 yards and using a bipod I can fire pellet into pellet? time afer time, I would have another tommorrow
    cheers MH
