I believe it is, unless the bottle can be used for diving, then I think it is a 2.5 year test?

Then again I may be talking balearics!

My bottle is up for testing in 3months, and its 2.5 yrs since its last test.

A Sapper is someone who quenches your thirst if you require a drink in the desert. If you need to cross the fastest river he will bridge that gap, and if the path ahead is too much to bear, the Sapper will guide you through holding your hand. UBIQUE is his motto - for he and his family have been everywhere.

There is No Central Air Bottle regulations

    It's down to filling Stations

If bottle is known to be out of water and used for Air Guns , most will only require it to be checked every 2 1/2 Years - 5 Years

Depends on how safe they , filling station believes the bottle is
As if they believe it might not take charge through outer rust or valve
problems they can require it to be tested.

Like a car MOT , not worth a lot on paper the day after issue

Divers bottles tend more to rust as can be run dry - empty
Most air Gunners tend to refill when lower than 150 Bar
So keeping inner moisture out .

    Only last week.

"Mike's" in London Colney refused to fill my surface only 12L bottle. Test is 3 years old. They claim to have been done by H+S (£2000) for filling a bottle with a similar age. This despite the H+S bottle and mine being 'surface only'. (Gauge and valve unit combined). He claims recent changes in 'Dive' regs means test length has gone from 2 years, to 2 1/2.

Went to "Divercity" in Potters Bar. Filled no probs. He is also selling pellets and a small range of rifles now too. He still under-fills the tank though.....
