Ray.
I'd just like to say a big thank you and well done to everyone who turned up to support the shoot at Lea Valley today which was held in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust Fund.
We had 58 Shooters and raised just under £800 for the charity.

On behalf of Lea Valley Air Gun Club - Hertford
& Cystic Fibrosis Trust
I wold like to thank everyone involved
And pleased that Shooters was able to have a Good Day @ Lea Valley.
We will be giving it ( Committee ) thought for a possible annual event
@ Lea Valley
Not on a Bank Holiday weekend though
We will be keeping the Books open if anyone else wants to add to the collection.
Money received todate will be passed onto Trust.
Money boxes will be in use @ the Club in coming weeks
For those that missed the Shoot and would like to add to the fund
My understanding , that amount received was just short of £600.00
unless someone added to it while clearing up
BOB/R Chairman Lea Valley Air Gun Club
As most are aware Phil Wright is currently off Line
Hopefully he will be able to make his own post in coming day's.
The Charity can claim back an extra 28% on the money raised, by claiming tax back on the donations from the government which brings the total higher than the cash sum on the day, so the Cystic Fibrosis Trust Fund are going to see more than the £565 cash raised from the shoot, plus I believe there were a couple of other donations from both shooters and non shooters on the day as well. (hope this makes sense!)

£565 was the Balance @ the end of the day from all sources
Which Phil Wright, Who set up this Shoot,
is paying into the Trust on Tuesday.
A Figure which he and his team advised us of , as they had total control of Funds.
I understand that He did pay out some income on prizes and other expenses
which was down to him as organiser
Not forgetting the Shoot @ Charity Collection was arranged by Phil Wright
We @ Lea Valley Air Gun Club , Loaned him our Ranges and Facilities
With Members Assisting where needed
Yes they can claim back Tax on Donations
But my understanding it is not instant income
We are keeping Collection Boxes running for a couple more weeks
in a effort to raise more funds.
As we believe some missed out making a Donation on the day due to other commitments
Yes we ( Club & Committee ) are looking at possiblities of making it a annual event
Not on a Bank Holiday Weekend
I believe that it has also raised the profile of the Charity amongst those Shooters involved
www.cftrust.org.uk
There has also been talk that future Sunday Open Matches @
Lea Valley Air Gun Club
Should be run to the benefit of a worthy Charity.
The Clubs web site will keep Shooters advised www.lvagc.com
