Those Falcon Optics scopes look pretty interesting!
Interesting range of scopes and all with Matching Reticle and Turret ! (*yay* someone listened)
There is a 'pre-production scope' 5.5-25X50FFP review on SnipersHide.
Not the best review as they go, with the following issues being picked up:
- Mushy Turrets
- Too stiff a parallax adjustment
- Unforgiving eye relief
- Blurred reticule at max power
- Milky clarity
... but that was in the pre-production run... has it been fixed ?
Just got an email from Falcon (sub 10 min response time) mentioning that the parallax adjustment is from 11m upwards. *nice*
It would be good if this was mentioned on their advertised specifications.
Anyone have any experience with the Falcon 5.5-25X50FFP ?
Have the above issues been sorted in the final version ?
Why is it not punted more in the PCP market ?
Are Falcon Optics any better than - Hawke, the cheaper Bushnell, MTC, Simmons etc other than the added extra of having FFP?
Hi the Falcon optics are just cheap chinese scopes not in the league against your £1k brands your better off saving up buying a S&B or have you looked at Bushnell Elites, Leupold, Burris, Sightron, Nightforce etc
A Real Peaky Blinder - Spring Is The Thing
Yes and No...
The only scopes to date that I've found that meet the following criteria:
- MilRad reticle
- MilRad turrets
- Parallax adjustment from 10m (although 25m would be fine) to infinity
- First Focal Plane (FFP) reticle
- Magnification of 3-12, 4-16 (or similar)
- 0.1 Mrad turret adjustment per click (0.05 would also be ok)
are these two:
Schmidt & Bender 3-20x50 PM II/LP/MTC/LT
Falcon Optics 5.5-25X50FFP, 5.5-25x50IR FFP, 5.5-25X56FFP, 4-14X44FFP
...the Nightforce 3.5-15x50 F1 NXS, might apply, but there is no mention of parallax adjustment sub 25m.
All other scopes seem to suffer from at least one of the following problems:
- Parallax adjustment only over 50m
- Mismatched Reticle and Turret calibrations
- Second Focal Plane reticles
So... at the moment it's either the $3,500.00 S&B, or the $550.00 Falcon 5.5-25x50IR FFP
Are there any other contenders ?
How about the FFP March scopes? 3-24x or 5-40x both tick all your boxes?

What about a Lightforce 4x14x44 ffp scope .
