.243 bought ammo
hi after running in my new barrel on my .243 i decided it was time to put the point of aim right. with 105gr soft points by geco ammo part of the rws company. I bought this ammo as the cheapest i could get at the time and all i wanted to do was run in the barrel and had no intention of shooting live quary with it.all went well until i shot the second of the first group of three consecutive rounds from this gun. The round went 9inches to the right of the bull at 100yds the third shot went into the bull .46 inches away form the first. On inspection of the cases the offending shot case had a primer the likes of which i've not seen before. It wasn't flattened or mushroomed but the center of it was pushed in level with the bottom of the primer hole in the case, both case hole and primer edge were rounded just has they had started out but it was a perfect inverted cone. any ideas what caused this as i've loaded ammo to the extreem and never had this even on them let alone a bought round .
thanks monty57
