I've submitted their enquiry form a couple of times but - despite them "actively seeking new members" - haven't had any reply.

I needed to contact them on behalf of the Vintage Arms Association http://www.vintagearms.org.uk/ of which the scottish VAA was once a part. I made contact through the NRA as their website was listed on the club page http://www.nra.org.uk/common/asp/lin...site=NRA&cat=4. The NRA kindly forwarded the message to their Hon Sec. directly.

I am surprised you have not had a reply. being keen to join, I found them nice people to deal with.

Nope, still no reply unfortunately. They're clearly not seeking new members as actively as they claim.

Hi - I have just had this thread brought to my notice..

As the Secretary of Vintage Arms Scotland, I must apologise for the lack of replies to our BB reported above..

Looking at the dates, it would appear that they fell foul of a number of software problems we were having at the time. Our systems are back up and running now and I aim to reply to all enquiries promptly.

We are probably the largest vintage and historical shooting club in the Scottish central belt, and are more than happy to accept new members. Being honest, we are probably more suitable for individuals who already have some experience with firearms and are interested in getting into the historical side more. We do not have club guns, however our members are more than happy to let folk have "shotties" as they go through the qualifying period.
