    PT Trigger Adjustment...

Whilst trying to fix my pro target, one of the things I checked was the trigger adjustments (cocking problem). Me being the numpty I am I messed up the very nicely set up trigger (probably the only good thing about the gun )

So, anybody got any tips/help on setting it back up? After 3 frustrating days I'm not having any luck getting it remotely near what it was like.

    TIA,

    Louis

OK, this is going to be interesting, but lets have a go.

I assume you have messed with 1st and 2nd stage, plus possibly overtravel.

As you look at the trigger group from underneath, the small grub screw which is furthest down within the action, and is easily seen is the 1st stage travel adjust. The grub screw partly obscured by the trigger blade is the 2nd stage adjust, the grub screw parrallel to the trigger blade, right at the back is the overtravel.

1st stage, turn the screw clockwise to decrease travel.

2nd stage, turn screw clockwise to increase the travel between the end of the 1st stage and beginning of 2nd. If this is in too far, the gun will fire before you have taken up the 1st stage.

Overtravel, turn clockwise to decrease the amount of travel after let off.

I can't explain how to put your trigger back, as without having the gun in front of me, I can't see what is wrong.

I hope the above helps, and remember, small adjustments...lots of them.

Nothing's wrong with it, I'm just trying to get it as sweet as it was originally ('cos I'm a fussy bugger )

I know I shouldn't have messed with it but I thought it was the trigger that was causing the problem

Looks like I'l have to keep at it
