[QUOTE=I. J.;6189137]Early scores are coming in from over that there big hill for Nov MPL.

    RMTC.

    John Gould - 161..FWB 103 - R10
    Bob Stiles - 177...Pardini K58 - Meisterkugeln
    Graham Burns - 176.....Walther LPM-1 - R10.
    Heather Swales - 160...Pardini P10. R10.
    Mike Swales - 172.......FWB Model 80. R10.
    Richard Sheppard - 161........Pardini P10. R10.
    Ian Jones - 181...FWB Model 65. Meisterkugeln.

Five of the first seven scores were achieved with SSP pistols !

Johns favourite 103 always performs well but he was disappointed with his score this time around as he was enjoying thrashing IJ but this below parr performance sees him out of luck this time!

The new Pardini K58 worked very well - a typical "new toy" performance on a rare twitch free shoot but lets see what happens when the novelty wears off and everything (including the twitch) returns to normal !

Grahams performance with his "better than new" Walther LPM-1 was well deserved for the amount of time he has spent restoring his pistol from a seriously abused and wrecked example to one that is probably better than Walther made it when it was new. Simply stunning ! He was shooting even better when it was not match cards he was making holes in - so the Walther is performing as good as it looks.

It's nice to see Mike and Heather Swales join the MPL competition for the first time ( good new blood) and we hope we can increase the entry again next month - so come on Rivvy - you need to get a few more of your members back on the MPL again!

Five of the first 7 results from RMTC were shot with SSP Pistols and the other two with FWB springers.

Looks like being a close result again - good for the MPL series - lots of interest - lets get a few more beginners roped in next time!

According to my reckoning the scores, going into the final round are as follows: (the average in brackets )

    Rivington R.

    Paul Wray – 919 (183.8)
    Ron Blair - 815 (163)
    John Ward - 880 (176)
    Mike Barnard - 781 (156.2)
    Steve Wright – 350 (175)
Steve Wilson - 531 (177) retired due to injury.
    Shaun Bell - 455 (151.6)
    Graham Myers - 442 (147)
    Rebecca P - 289 (144)
    Andy Mac - 121

    R.M.T.C.

    John Gould - 817 (163.4)
    Bob Stiles - 688 (172)
    Ian Jones - 895 (179)
    Graham Burns - 676 (169)
    Phil Hewitt – 297 (148.5)
    Andy Mc - 393 (131)
    Glen Moulton - 290 (145) Sadly left.
    Richard Sheppard - 316 (158)
    Geoff Radovic - 465 (155)
    Mike Swales - 525 (175)
    Jackie Radovic - 143
    Heather Swales - 160

May I suggest that due to seasonal holidays and closings that we extend the shooting period for the final round into January '14. Say, till Thurs 9th Jan. I would hate for anyone to loose a placing through no fault of their own.
    Good shooting.

Too late to join the fun?

    Hi

I am interested in joining the fun - have an airmatch 600 and an Original 6m so the right pistols.

Can a southern softy shoot this from home?

    Cheers

    Hi Frog,

You would be welcome to join in the 6yard MPL series and shoot from home, but this original 10 metre series is to be shot on a club range and witnessed so if you can form a team of interested shooters at your local club you can join this one as well - the new series starts in January 2014 so you would be just in time.

Check-out the 6yd MPL Postal Competition thread here on the BBS so you can see how to enter that series.

Your two pistols would both be ideal for use in either MPL series.

I look forward to having you join us !

They are all right with circles and rings but boxes squares baffle them.

A box generally has a corner at, well, each corner.

Yes, its that time of month again (January) and the start of a new series. Cards to be shot from now until the end of the month. The results so far are:

    R.R.
    Paul Wray - 165 (using an ASI Centre so + 12) = 177
    Ron Blair - 154 (using a FWB65)

    R.M.T.C.
    Ian Jones - 178 (using a FWB65)

My victory over Paul was tarnished slightly when after completing my celebratory double back flick with tucked pike my pellets fell out of my pocket and hit Gladys on the back of the head.
