    pistol training course

There will be an nsra pistol instructor course run at blackburn rifle and pistol club on Saturday September 15th, running from 9am unitil 5pm. The cost for this course is £60.

There are three approaches to taking this course

    1. To take the course, obtain membership of the nsra and apply for a crb check (via the nsra this is £20). this makes you an approved nsra instructor and covered by their insurance.

    2. Take the course without membership of the nsra - you would be able to instruct but without an nsra certificate or insurance cover.

    3. Take the course as a way of improving your own shoting skills.

If you are interested in taking ths course please pm me or reply to this thread

    Thanks

    Neil,

I would put option 2 a little more bluntly:

    2. Take the course without membership of the nsra - instruct entirely at your own risk with unlimited liability

    ....then be surprised!

Have just done the prone (.22) version of this, and it really does!

It makes you think about how and why you do things, which is never a bad poition to be in.

    ....unless you're perfect already?

My wife DOES know how much my rifle cost - she bought it for me! Blaser R8 Success Mono LH with .22lr. .204 Ruger, 6.5 x 55 and .308

    Hi Adrian,

There is a lot of room for improvement - huge amount infact - so I look forward to reaping the rewards and improving my coaching skills at the same time.

I went on this course a couple of months back and it is great.

I would say it has helped put about 5 on my average and taken me up to around the 552 mark now. Some really good theory and tips on instructing (well I suppose you would expect the last bit!!)

Not to give too much away, one question you can ask is How many pellets can you put in one pistol ??

    All the best

    Mark

    cancellation

Unfortunatly, due to unforseen events we have had to cancel this training course. If possible, we will run this training course next year.

Thats a shame Neil - what went wrong?

Any chance of getting it on again a bit sooner than next year?
