Yup; it’s me again

Well. What a strange morning. Very unlike so many rounds of the 2012 Sussex Interclub. Would almost have thought it was another series, in another part of the world.

1. Sunshine with hardly a cloud in the sky.
2. Enough, but only just enough, of a sneakly little breeze to catch out the unwary; certainly not enough to worry maintaining verticality on standing shots.
3. Not even a hint of dew, let alone buckets of the wet stuff with which we have become so accustomed.
4. I didn’t shoot like a plonker and achieved my 2nd best score of the year, lifting me 10 places up the leader board Having said that, I did manage to reserve one incorrect head position for my next to last lane (27) and overcooked the wind adjustment on my very last shot on lane 28. Were it not for those two user errors, I would have tied with the mighty/untouchable Charles. Dammit!!

Of course, one thing today had in common with Rounds 1-6 was the superb course. Well done Fordies – splendidly different and challenging layout and I think the relative lack of wind and no rain showed how cleverly you managed to fool the competitors by other means.
