    Those pesky Mildots

Just bought a Nikko Stirling Laserking 3-9x42.
    Mildots.
Now using Brian Sampson's excellent printouts I find that the mildots at the full 9x are not a total match to the chart.
However at 5x the dots are double the spacing 2-1 so I suspect that should the scope in theory go to 10x they would be correct.
I therefore surmise that if I used Chairgun and told the programme that the scope was a true mildot , if I set both the scope and Chairgun to 9x I should have correct ballistics......?
    What are your thoughts ?

i found the best way was to zero my scope and then try shooting at different ranges to work out my dots that way.

i zero at 30 yards and every half of a dot is an extra 5 yards, except 40 yards which is roughly 3/4 of a dot, 45 is 1 dot, 50 a dot and a half, 55 2 dots, 35 yards is half a dot. and so on. thats on 10 mag with a half mil dot reticle and my gun is in 177.

ive not tried chairgun, but a lot of people swear by it.
