Sussex Interclub HFT - Round 8 Results

Hi All

Thank you, Hawkies, for a splendid day and challenging course. Some very tricky rangefinding in the dark depths of the woods, especially when your scope’s rear lens decides to fog over in the humid air . That cost me at least 2 points. Doh. In addition, for those of us who had to shoot the field lanes later in the day, after the sun had come out and brought the wind with it, I reckon we deserve a bonus point or two; double bonus points if you knocked over the lane 1 free stander in the gusty left-to-right breeze. Needless to say, for my great partner (Mike L) and I, this was the high point of our day

Just a single Platinum badge awarded today to our youngest/brightest young entrant – Ryan. Congratulations, young man

Team Results – well, what a difference a day makes. Notwithstanding the absence of at least one key player from Oakland (Charlie boy), narrowing the gap at the top of the team table by no fewer than 13 points is pretty extraordinary. Well done to the men of the woods for fielding 5 of the top 9 scores of the day. Just 5 points in it now, with two rounds to go. Exciting stuff!!
