I thought it featured in AGW or maybe AG. I recall reading about it. And I didn’t read SWAT in the 80s. Wasn’t SWAT a US mag? Do you mean “Combat and Survival” (which I equally did not read)?

There was a UK magazine called survival weaponry and techniques. They featured airguns and even powder burners . They did and article on the Calico .22lr also.

changed the name to SOAT (survival outdoor 's and techniques ) before they stopped printing it .

I done a short barrel under folding AK stock Meteor 14yrs ago

    Thread here:

I had thought of doing either collapsible or removable stock on my Webley Hawk Mk1 (as the barrel can come off). However never got round doing it

How the hell did I forget about that... I actually had one!
The Xisco XS-B3-1 also marketed in the airgun rags as 'The Ratter'.....there's a bit of irony there methinks

Awesome! Good skills!! That’s a fat moddy on that - does it help with cocking the stumpy barrel?

Thanks mate, yes the 'fat can' does help in the cocking, but it isn't that bad without. Just need to have the knack of doing it.

The BAM folders (as review by John M is AGW last year) are really not too bad with a little tune. Just the direct trigger that let's them down.
Tuning a springer to have a mild firing clycle at 8 FP is hardly rocket science these days.. mine shoot perfectly well. Available for around £70 brand new, shipped to your door, from the continent (best be quick if Boris is getting in)...
