Ford HFT 14th Oct

On Sunday 14th Oct, Ford HFT section will be hosting a 30 target HFT course to support the Ford Sussex Poppy Shoot event (see below) at Ford Ranges on 13th and 14th Oct.

The HFT will take place at the copse end of the runway and will offer the unique mix of shots on the concrete, in the meadow and in woodland which have become our trademark.

All are welcome

Gates open at 10:00am - cost will be £6 for the HFT event. Watch this space for more details!

We will be donating our club section fee to the RBL.

Sussex Poppy Shoot 13th and 14th Oct

The Poppy event will take place at Ford Ranges, in association with Sussex County Royal British Legion and will consist of a family weekend on 13th/14th October. There will be many "have a go" events available at Ford ranges on both days with a firework display on the Saturday evening(weather permitting). Entry to the ranges will be £1.

Time to hup this one up a bit.

Just don't ask me about parking - I think we need to go directly up to the copse end of the runway by going in at the next gate along(ie towards Yapton) to the normal Ford entrance, rather than park in the car park, due to numbers at the Ranges event.

I'll put up details as soon as they are confirmed, I don't want to confuse things until I'm sure what is happening! I need to speak to the range staff. Hopefully later today.

Okey dokey

Just spoken to the range. When you go in, do not use the normal entrance on Burndell Road into the car park, but the other gate about 100 yards towards Yapton. Drive up the runway to the top which is where we normally shoot SIHFT.

If you follow the link in my sig and then go to "find us" it shows a map. The arrow is the normal entrance to the range car park, you want the other one - the runway is effectively "U" shaped, we are going along the other leg of the U.

Hope that makes sense.

They will be shooting clays on the section of runway where we normally put pegs 1-10 so we will have to find an alternative layout. Good test of our innovation!

I will also have to come up with an outdoor booking in system, probably in the form of a strange blue-coloured Alhambra!

I am told there will be another burger van up at the top end.
