I have just had time to zero my 98 today with new pellets (secret) and work out up and down.

Do I need a compass or a gyroscope for my E/W adjustments?

Oh, where can I land the chopper? It could be simpler!

Looking forward to this - Richard.

Just spoken to the range. When you go in, do not use the normal entrance on Burndell Road into the car park, but the other gate about 100 yards towards Yapton. Drive up the runway to the top which is where we normally shoot SIHFT.

If you follow the link in my sig and then go to "find us" it shows a map. The arrow is the normal entrance to the range car park, you want the other one - the runway is effectively "U" shaped, we are going along the other leg of the U.

    Hope that makes sense.

They will be shooting clays on the section of runway where we normally put pegs 1-10 so we will have to find an alternative layout. Good test of our innovation!

I will also have to come up with an outdoor booking in system, probably in the form of a strange blue-coloured Alhambra!

I am told there will be another burger van up at the top end.

    Start time to follow...
I think you are deliberately being confusing!

All this talk of drive to yapton drive up the runway...oh! yeah, gonna fall for that one ain't i!..run over by a jumbo!
take the other leg of the u...?? Shooting clays where i normally am!!!...only just started to get the hang of the nnw carpark...anybody would think you didn't want me there!.....

    GAGGING!

Just think of Gatwick - your local. It is billed as a single runway airport - mainly because of a legal prohibition on two runways at the moment. Alongside it is a duplicate taxiway that is the same size as the runway. I believe a 747 nearly made it down because it has nice lights. As well as aircraft waiting to take-off.

So - Captain - you are quite right. Make sure your eyes can do 360.

    Happy landings.

Maybe put some peanut butter on the glass first
then cover with marmite, that will mess with his
monkey head, or do some marmite and some chocolate
    spread, bitter sweet roulette

As stated before - we will be doing the booking in at the top of the runway - I am told there will be limited plinking available in the 60 yard range.

Intention is safety brief at 10:30 at the top of the runway start straight after.

There will be British legion marshalls at both gates and they will direct you to the second gate - tell them you are here for the HFT and you are going up to the top of the runway - they "should" know about it - otherwise they will try to get you to park at the road end and you'll have a long walk!

Its all perfectly clear so don't make a fuss...
