    [QUOTE=T 20;5665133]Hi Mick

    I think the LG 522 is also known as the Relum Telly and is basicaly the break barrel version of the Relum Tornado.

    I've just been given a Relum Telly so I'll be tuning this in a similar way to the Relum Junior I did a couple of years ago, ie ---

    I'll replace the piston seal with an O ring piston head - though an adaptor and a Weihrauch 26mm seal can also be used.

    The tit on the back block will be machined off so that a top hat type spring guide can be used - an old meteor one could be used if on a budget.

    For the mainspring I use a single spring and guide instead of the original twin spring setup --- normally a Meteor spring does the job.

    This is all from memory so if I get five in the morning I'll strip my Telly and see if anything else could be done or if a different spring would be a better fit.

    Last weekend I was playing with a new Walther LGV --- this weekend I'm playing with a Relum Telly.

    At least I can't be accused of being a gun snob.

    Any photos of the gun stripped down would be handy, if you could email them, mickglynn1@talktalk.net, kind regards Mick

    as you say these are always going to be relatively modest in output but to get the best out of them is really as already stated by posts above;
    over powering is nearly always a mistake,the meteor spring replacement is the most advantageous then replacing all the performance related parts
    like breech seal and piston seal,the piston seal in leather is an overlooked item in terms of performance and yet very simple to get the best from.
    both sides of the excess can make a noticeable reduction in output;a lesson a friend learned when rebuilding his much loved airsporter ,it was what we thought at the time a little to tight and even when a fair number of running in shots were fired power was down ,after a tad was removed from the sealing faces re lubed and she was running at full power consistantly ;the other often detail overlooked by newbies is the pellet choice.at the "range" a demonstration of a wide variety of ammo in 3 very different airguns with a detailed chrono check was an eye opener for me returning to the sport .and showed me to overlook this can spoil even a quality mark.

    Hi Mick

    No photos of the gun stripped yet --- I was a bit busy setting up match ploughs yesterday, but I did manage to take some pictures of my Telly.

    As you can see it must be a rare factory camo edition --- I can't believe anyone would be daft enough to give this away.

    As for stripping instructions these may help.
