Hello, New To The Forum

Hi all, I've been visiting the forum for a while but only just got arond to registering. I have had air pistols since an early age, starting off with a Gat gun (who didn't) and then too many to remember but notably Crossman 1377 and arguably the ultimate air pistol, the HW45!
More recently I've been collecting GBB pistols, and got quite into Airsoft back in the day but I'm getting a bit too old for all that running around stuff now! Unfortunately I stopped playing just before the VCR bill came into force so I'm not registered with any site so i can't buy any new pistols but thankfully I still have a few tucked away ( full metal WA 1911a1 and a Glock 19 both heavily upgraded).
I recently expanded the collection after visiting Solware in Tamworth and looking in their glass cabinet full of handguns! I came away with Tanfoglio Witness 1911 and Sig Sauer P226 X5. The crazy thing is I can't buy the low powered airsoft versions but can buy the more powerful co2 models due to them being classed as air weapons! I'm very pleased with both, great blowback and realism and the steel BB's rip beer cans to pieces!
The Witness I have fitted real steal wood grips and I've gone over gun with a fine sanding pad to give it that old school. 45 look! I plan on getting a tactical light for the Sig and future purchases could well be the Tanfoglio Custom and the Cybergun Mini Uzi. Some pics of the 1911 included . . .

Like you my collection has a couple of airsofts in there just for the realism factor (of in the case of my M9 with F/A for the grin factor)

I confess I do like the look of the Witness, the only thing that puts me off is the large 'WITNESS' & 'TANFOGLIO' logos down the side - now if they did away with those I'd be there....

Thanks for the warm welcome guys and the kind words!

I don't mind the Tanfoglio Witness on the side but what i'm not so keen on is the "Made in Taiwan". . . but I'm working getting rid of that :-)

I was surprised how well the pics came out, just my camera phone on a white coffee table, will get some pics of the Sig and the Glock uploaded when I get chance, cheers fellas
