Want some advice for air arms S400.

I have a New Air Arms S400 but want to 'play' customise it abit nothing to serious just a few bits here and there.

1st. i want to know if it would be possible to fit a classic barrel on a carbine ?

2nd. Whats the ups and down going to be doing this ( is it going to make it more accurate ? or am i just going to waste my time and money...)

Hope someone out there will be able to put me on the right track.

    Thanks Frik.

wasting your money as far as accuracy is concerned. theres nothing wrong with the carbine version, after all it was the ''airgun of the year''.
if you went ahead with it, you might end up with something that looks a little over long, in my opinion.
but, if it floats your boat then i suppose thats all that matters .

The Graham brothers are sill actively scamming people. Do not send money or your gun to anyone in the Cheltenham area of Gloucestershire. Only deal with anyone in this area face to face.

Never send payment via paypal to anyone living in this area. He may claim the gun must have got lost in the post and tell you to claim back from paypal.
When paypal find out it was a gun, you won't be getting anything back.

Nothing stopping you putting the classic barrel on......you may need to turn the power down a little, GML conversion does the exact opposite, puts a classic cylinder on a carbine barrel to improve shot count. The longer barrel on a shorter cylinder is a bit unusual but there was a thread about it 2 or 3 days ago. If you really want a classic barrel you should have gone for the classic rifle, longer cylinder = more shots, kind of defeats the object of having a carbine doesn't it, you know, making it longer.

I would also think of a long thin barrel thats easily damaged, having 4" plus hanging over the end of the cylinder is asking for trouble. Might also make it harder to sell if you upgrade and as pete said, theres no accuracy advantage

    Talking personalised rifle

Frik are you really looking at doing something unusual to your rifle.Try snapping the butt for starters (that is always a good one on the kudos scale) and if you were even considering cutting into the butt consider this, you cannot even cut your back garden grass without damaging your flowerpots.I am sure that whatever you do with your rifle ,you can always resort to the final options, use the Lightning or buy a classic length rifle.Job done.
I am so good it hurts.Have a good week matey.
