BSA supersport DS 1986 serial number value please with pics

    Hi all,

A friend of mine is looking to sell his air rifle as he uses mine all the time

Anyway after a value please as I dont have any experience with BSA rifles.

Its a 1986 model Supersport (from the prefix DS) has the front sight unit but no rear sight unit, rather pitted on the barrel and the breech seal needs replacing.

Oh and the stock is in very good condition.

    Cheers

    Rich

I'm guessing around the £70 mark?

Based on last year I bought a MINT Brummy Lightning for £110 incl. scope, and earlier this year a mint, again, Brummy Xocet with 3-9x40 scope for £110. The Lightning was from a dealer and the Webley from Dparkeyman on the BBS.

I'd agree with that valuation but have to add the brum made supersports are a much better gun than lightnings to shoot,if he could find the rearsight it might fetch £90.

Can do, check out the prices of new spare ones, if still available that is, £30-40 isn't unusual.

I was under the impression that the original lightnings were just a brum supersport carbine with the volumetric silencer plonked on the end and some maxigrip scope rails not to dissimilar than the ss carbine I used to own.

I think you are refering to the spanish offerings.
