    Exclamation BPA?

6 yard, and 10 metre, are perfect, as this is probably the distance shoot by most, and our choice guns are Ashley sighed in to these distances.

I look forward to a relaunch.

I to could accept the comps without a witness, but would like the targets to be still e-mailed for checking & scoring rather than individuals just e-mailing a claimed score. ...mike...

Perhaps a new start is worth considering.

If the files have gone then it might be worth staring over.

    Kind regards,

I am inclined to agree with you Phil

It would need someone with the prerequisite IT skills to start it up I think as this is clearly beyond me

It would also need to have a well thought through set of aims and objectives so that what other sites such as the UBC do (very well) wasnt replicated.

If there is someone who wants to step up to the plate then they would need to think of another name if using the same forum provider as the BPA one is locked into the now off line one and cant be replicated (I think!) Something like the Internet Pistol Association for example?

    Just my 2p's worth

The honor system has worked fine for the Umarex Boys Club from the very beginning, and still does.

The Target Pistol Association has a nice ring to it, and also gives a clear indication of what it is all about.

TPA is also similar to the BPA.

It would be good to concentration on 6 yard and 10m target type disciplines.

I'd be happy to assist where I could.

    Kind regards,

    Phil

    OK here is an update

Most of the data has been lost - it is not possible to retrieve it

Sorry about that - I tried my best

I have concluded that this sort of thing is all quite beyond my limited understanding and skills

It would appear that the only option now is for a new forum - Phil's suggestion re TPA sound quite good

Time for a suitably skilled and motivated individual to step forward and take up the challenge perhaps?

Sadly the Bpa is now dead, i can't help with a new website as i'm a computer "dummy", Phills idea may work!, though i would suggest OTF online target forum so that you could incorparate rifles as well, & swell the possible number of interested parties in a target forum. The big IF is someone with computer skills to set up & run the technical side, i have no doubt many would help to run the site if a "techie" can be found.

There are a few online forum hosts.

Not sure which is the best though.

I'd be happy to do some research and try to get it going,

Just need to get a consensus of opinion on the name.

Online Target Association, or Internet Target Association, sound OK and cover both rifle and pistol.

    Kind regards,

    Phil
