    bsa 240 magnum

    i have acquired a 177 version boxed and complete with manual, tube of pellets etc in unfired mint condition it was wrapped in gift paper as a present but the unlucky recipient never got it .can any body tell me if they are good guns or if it is worth much.

    They are well made , but are a `Marmite` pistol, you either love `em or hate `em. They can be hold sensitive, but once mastered are an excellent pistol.
    I have one in .22 and find it to be accurate and quite powerfull.
    As to value if in excellent condition and boxed around £130-£150 is the going rate. You will see them advertised at higher prices but they don`t sell.

    Magnum 240

    I have the .177 model they kick well and should make a good trainer pistol for those lucky

    enough to be able to shoot 9mm et al,

    I find the .177 shoots a bit on the high side so put heavy pellets through it,

    Crosman Ultra Magnum/Bisley Premiers/Magnums which seems to calm things down a bit,

    Paid £120 for mine in close to mint,
