    I got it

YES,God must have helped me today because as soon as I got back from xmas shopping today I got a call from the gun shop to say my gun is there ready for me to collect
When I collected it the guy said he has got in a Webley Alecto too to show me what they look like in the flesh. He gave me the gun to hold & right away i was so pleased I did not buy that thing,it was BIG,& i disliked the look of it,also the grip of it in my hands feels horrid. So i told him so.
He said though if I want to buy a 2nd black star from him in .22 he would do me it cheaper this time around,£260.I said done and gave him £50 deposit again. he said to me why the hell would you want 2 of the same guns for ?,I said to feel like a terminator lol.he had to hold his gut & he was cracking up.When I left the shop,I said,I'll be back.
I love the way it looks, just hope I love the way it shoots.I really am hoping it does not give me a hard time shooting it though.

Will go out & shoot it tomorrow & report back to let people know what I think of it.Even if I cannot shot it to save my life I still think I would like 2 of them, just to hold in my hands and to look at them when ever I want.I think they are so good looking.

Here is some photos of my new toy.

LOL eyebull, the next time I am in there I will ask if he can order me a phased plasma rifle ,see what he says to me lol ,that is going to be so funny.I wonder what he is going to say

my wife is having ago at me though tonight about the guns ,because it's near xmas ,I told her not to worry I will still buy her a new toy for xmas so she can play with it in bedroom,I made a promiss to her I would .I do not know why though, she is still on my case ,plus I told her that one of the guns can be an early xmas present from her.I don't know, these girls are funny old things you know.

    I do love it

These are my best cards after zero in the gun,I shot it all day & use about 100 cards & about 400 pellets.God my hands hurt a bit now

I shot in sitting down with my arms resting on my knees holding the gun with both hands everytime.

Not all my cards was as good as these ones but these 6 was my best for today.I am very happy with the gun & i am pleased that I brought it.Already I can hit my tin cans easy with it,very very easy.

Also the gun was shot on full power everytime as i did not like it on 1/2 power

    Hi PJHIZZLE ,

I wish my wife was into shooting too, that must be way .My wife don't even care at all about shooting & fishing, but I wish she was because then we could spend more time together doing somthing intresting. She only likes shopping & I hate going to shops with her because she takes forever to choose things & looks at every item in the shop over and over again .

No I have not joined a shooting club,I am not even sure where one is close to me ?,plus I am not sure if I am even good enough.can anyone just join a club,or do you need to prove yourself first or anything like that ?

I have got to say I think this HW45 is much much easyer to shoot then my webley tempest was,I would say about 90% easyer for me to shoot it & hit thing I want to hit.

Hope it's not raining tomorrow,If it's not I'm going shooting again all day up my mates farm with him.

Please god don't let it rain tomorrow.

Ok I have just had a little fiddle with the gun and adjusted the trigger to how I like it & wow it's even better to shoot now.

I set it up to have a shorter trigger pull & set it to a bit softer trigger pull too ,right after doing this I shot at 4 more paper targets & this is what I got.

This time I took all the shots standing up & holding gun with both hands farly lightly.

I am loving it. I kiss the gun everytime I put it back in the box & I cannot seem to keep the box shut.

At the moment I do have lots of smoke coming from the gun everytime I shoot it & it smells like burning, smells lovely.

BTW I only shot at these 4 targets this time.

I thought I would show you my 3 boys air pistols.

One of the crosman 1377c is fitted with a steel breech + extended prob & a Guntuff 2.5x32 scope,The other 1377 will be getting a steel breech too very soon.

The 3rd gun is a CO2 powered Daisy 15XT powerline that fires 4.5mm steel BB & is fitted with a Walther NightForce lazer, spot light combo.

The CO2 gun is ok but has a very hard trigger pull but is very powerful i think for a BB gun.The crosman 1377c is a nice gun on it's own but is better when fitted with the steel breech kit & scope.

I can out shoot all of them with my new to me HW45 black star though, but my sons are better on there guns than me by a mile because they shoot them often & have had them for sometime now.

    Cun club

    Hi Leo

I had a look for airgun clubs near you, sadly there doesn't seem to be many I guess it depends on how far you're willing to travel (I drive about 40 mins to Bisley). Check Out http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?hl=...&t=h&z=6#bmb=1

It shows the majority of airgun clubs in Britain, see if there is one near to you. You don't usually need to be of any particular shooting standard to join but there is usually a membership fee. I have learned a lot from people at my club and I get to try some excellent rifles/pistols both new and vintage. Most air gunners are happy to offer advice on gun equipment and shooting techniques.

I hear that Petes Airgun Farm is pretty decent and not a million miles from your location, google it and check out his website. I believe you need to have some kind of liability insurance for that one though.

I have had a few gun before when i was a kid,my best gun that i liked back then was a webley tempest .22 air pistol.I was going to buy one of them again but i see a HW45 SILVER STAR in the gun shop that took my eye & so i asked if i could take a close look at it.They let me hold it in the shop & i loved the feel of it in my hands. The only thing i was not sure about at the time was the silver look to it as i thought it looked a little bit like a toy gun.anyway i liked it so much still that i left a £50 deposit on it & then went home. When i got home i fired up the laptop to look at it again online & found out that they do the same gun in black called the black star.I thought it looked so god dam sexy so i called the gun shop to ask if they can get me that one instead & they said yes they can but i would need to wait over a week for it to come in,I said deal i will wait. The gun was £17 cheaper than the silver one to so that was ok.

So i should have my new toy to play with next week ,now after reading a little bit online about the gun i am a bit worried because many people seem to be saying that it is a very hard gun to shoot & i am starting to think that maybe i have wasted my money .

Can anyone tell me if the HW45 is going to be harder to shoot than a webley tempest ?,as i say i had a tempest once before and i did love it but i thought that was hard enough for me to shoot.sometimes i was ok on it and other days i was crap & i did get a bit mad with it.

Do you good people think that i will like it or not ?,I know that it might be hard for people to tell me if i am going to like it or not but would love to just hear peoples opinions on this forum.

I have just sold my brand new AirArms s410 tdr .22 last week as i thought it was not fun to shoot,as it seemed a bit to easy to hit things with it & i felt like it was not much fun shooting it for some reson. This is why i thought i would get a pistol instead.BUT i do not want a pistol that is going to be too hard to shoot and hit cans with it.

Also what pellets shoot good in this HW45 black star ? , i have just brought some RWS super dooms just for a start but would like to know what is the best of the best to shoot in this gun for fun shooting.

I was going to buy a webley alecto at first but when i talked to the man in the gun shop he said lots of people do not like them when they see them in the flesh so that put me right off them.Anyway i think this will be enought questions for my first post.

Thanks in advance for any reply i get & thanks for having me admin
I bought a .22 Alecto about 6 months ago, and I find it a brilliant bit of kit, light, easy to shoot and very accurate, I don't where that dealer was coming from, I'm very happy with my Alecto. Perhaps you should have had a try before ordering the HW45?

Hi Dave1943,I am very pleased to hear that you are happy with you Webley Alecto

I did hold one in the gun shop & it was not my cuppa tea right of the bat,I have small hands so that did not help.I would still like to fire one though just to see what they are all about. From what i have read they are still a very good gun.

everyone is diffent though, not everyone likes the same gun,if we did it would be a boring old world

I have spent the whole day shooting The HW45,used a whole tin of pellets & am feeling a little bit sick of shooting,my hands are hurting bad .I do love this HW45,it is a joy to shoot & i do not miss much i am shooting at,if i do miss,i will hit it within the next 2 shots belive.I pulled off an amazing shot today,a tin can about 50 meters away,I hit it dead on & it took off ,smack it went.Belive I do not need a red dot on this baby.the open glow sights are a bit of me.

Lol as i say my hands hurt bad & I got the kids begging me to go shooting again tomorrow ,I have a bad right hand anyway & all that shooting today has really upset it,I feel old right now .

Take care all & I will try & do the same

Just thought I would show one last target card that I shot today,& there was me worrying if I would be able to hit a can with it.

2 shots was shot at the bull,2 at the lid of the can,1 shot at the bottle,3 at the rat.

    RWS Superdomes .22

Thank you Welhrauch for making an excellent pistol if you read this.I am more than happy with it,you did it in style.I love everything about it.
