I used one briefly on a tuned .177 HW97k and had no problems with it over a 30-target course. However, I made sure that I didn't rest the scope against my brow. I've read of these scopes being used successfully on small calibre firearms.

Got an MTC Connect arriving in the next day or two, was thinking of fitting it to my recently aquired Walther LGV comp. It's a heavy rifle with reasonably smooth recoil. If that doesn't work out I'll mop up the blood and fit it to the HW100KT.

Local chap has one on an fac HW80 without issues.

Let be sensible airgun recoil is a mite different to a proper gun

    Sorry Gary, I did it

Hey, the MTC Connect works perfectly (for me) on the Walther LGV. Note: this is not a general recommendation for all springers - but on the LGV recoil is simply not an issue (this is assuming the scope doesn't fall apart due to the small amount of recoil present - MTC's recommendation *was* a safety issue I assume?

The Connect is a whole lot smaller and easier to work with than the other option I had - the Viper 10x44 above it.

Just fired 60 rounds of .223 through my Southern Gun AR15 using the connect with no issues regarding recoil, not the best scope for the gun but recoil problems no!

Just dragged this back up ...

Anyone else used these on a springer?

I know Mikey used one on his 97 but he wore specs to shoot. He said that maybe the specs meant he could have a slightly longer eye relief. He had no problems using his.

I still stand by my test on the .22lr, Col - no problems at all.
I can't see your 77 being too harsh mate but perhaps a badly tuned, harshly recoiling .177 would be uncomfortable.

just to let everyone know that if mat e lot does try a connect on his venomglide hw 80, (nice smooth shooting rifle btw) that he should be o.k.. we have 3 registered nurses at the club and a qualified first aider. I will have the bandages next to the camera just in case.

I have tried one on my Wonky tuned HW80 & Longbow. Providing the rubber eye piece extension is used the only problem I found was that it made me blink on firing, it didnt quite feel right.. The problem came when I forgot to use the rubber extension & used it as I do on a pcp, the slight bump on my eyebrow went down after a couple of days
