It's a sled type system like the Statical and Diana 54. I think the lp5 magnums the same too.

bloodyhell... 700 fps in 177...Surely it couldn't be that difficult to produce a rifle from this by increasing particular dimensions to produce 12ftlbs. It would be a very cheap Semi recoiless rifle..

I have the Hatsan mod 25. paid £78 I think new. The supercharger is a posher version. Mine too has the moving barrel to take away some of the recoil, and after getting used to the pistol, I find it quite accurate and powerful.Didn't like it at first, but like with the HW45, once you get it under your control its not bad at all. The trigger is stiff, but I slackened the adjusting screw under trigger guard and I think its a bit easier now, but not much! It is the Typhoon copy.

    Ah the new Typhoon.
The only air pistol Webley supplied already broken.

Also called the Hammerli fire hornet.
I bought the Typhoon about five years ago, just prior to vcr, from a place in Lincoln.
It was pretty crappy and shooting high. I called the shop but they were not interested (great customer relations there) so I phoned Webley. They were really helpful and I sent the pistol to them and they sent me a replacement.
That was pretty crappy as well. I didn,t strip it right down, but did a bit of work on the trigger. The trigger housing is plastic! I didn,t like the rear sight adjustment much and thought it was pretty crappy. I gave the pistol to my nephew who actually likes it.
I sometimes think about getting another to play with but would be very reluctant to pay over £20 for a 2nd hand one.
I reckon there will be plenty of broken ones around in a few years but spares will be hard to get. I suspect a lot will just be binned rather than repaired.
