JD replaced his with a Nikko 6x56. He didn't like the 'un-lockable' elevation turret on the gert big moonlighter.

He said the Nikko had a brighter image too

I have also been told that JD was sponsored for a period by Optima to use the Moonlighter? This may be conjecture of course.

I also believe that he moved from Super-Moo to Nikko 6x56 and then onto the Tasco 3-9x50AG... is this right? I think he had the 3-9x50AG on his Venom-80 and then on his Rapid?

The Tasco was on his mk1 rapid, for sure, may have been on his 80 too, but tbh I don't know

Well I recently bought the same Tasco 3-9x50AG as JD used to use, so I might put this on my AGT80-25 at some point too...

Chances are it's going to end up on my MK 1 S10 Carbine (not quite JD's Rapid but it's a similar gun... )

I think Optima scopes were made by Hakko.

    Similar... but not the same

No target elevation turret for one thing...

    Matty

And yes; Hakko made the Optima branded scopes

Yes I remember seeing that before

What is the scope he has on his 80 in that clip? Looks like x40 AO rather than a x50 AO...?

    Cheers

Tasco AG? Isn't long enough to be a TR. And it certainly looks 40mm

I think it might well be a Tasco AG - did they do a 3-9x40? I cannot recall...

So 3-9x50AG was on JDs Rapid and looks like 3-9x40AG on the 80

I have Jap Tasco AG scopes in 4x32 (FWB 127) 2-7x32 (FWB 124) and 3-9x50 (probably going on BSA S10)

I'll simply have to get a 3-9x40 AG to go on one or other of my 80s
