Just buy a Venom '80 instead...
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

This might be a daft question. Your sig says the HW90 is the best gun in the world, but youd like it venom tuned into a springer? So the HW95 is the best gun in the world?

Done a conversion last year for the US. There is a lot more to it, new piston, trigger block, trigger, stock fixing, etc- The only thing your left with is the cylinder and barrel.

Kerwaff --- yes mate it can be and has been done a few times by venom , i talked to them about venom tuning my fenman as i was sick of the gasram power variations during hot and cold temps etc , but love the gun so wanted to keep it.
apparantley they did a few conversions on the 90's because of a faulty batch of gasrams ( there words not mine ).

when i bought mine last year i was almost persuaded not to as ther had been some 'leakers' in the past. Mine was a dream and i wish id never sold it to fund my pcp -

back to the post subject surely venom could do a 'everything bar the spring' tune - wether or not it would be worth it i dont know?

    Cheers

NO...The one i converted has the standard piston trigger unit and stock fixings,it is less efort to load than the standard gun fires very smooth no twangs ect.,it is running at just under 12ft lbs.But i can adjust the power from 10.5ft lbs to 19.5 ft lbs.

In terms of the things that a v-mach tune gives to springers, the HW90 already has super fast lock time, ,no spring twang, consistent firing cycle etc - if you're worried about temperature variations causing the power to fluctuate, set the rifle power in warm weather with light pellets - no danger of an illegal increase then, the power variation has very little real effect on the path of your pellet over 35 yards and as for recoil, the jury is still out on hw90 recoil. Some people say it's massive, some people hardly notice it.

If you want to bling it GINB has great stocks for HW90's - (yes I'm thinking!!!!) and there's plenty of people on here who would do you a shiny muzzle break/silencer.

I'd say there is better candidates for v-maching than the venerable 90 - it's a great gun already.

Get good mounts and springer rated scopes and there should not be a problem - leaks I don't know much about but most people report them after they've over pumped the ram - only pump the ram if you are sure it's loosing power - some folk have had gas ram guns for 12-15 years and never needed to touch the ram - resist the urge to tinker!!

Nice gun collection by the way!!

    Hi,

Seeing as I can't shift the 90 I have, I think I'm going to use it for a project.

Question is, can anyone advise who could cut down the compression tube on a 90 then cut a thread in it to accept an 80 trigger block.

    Cheers

    Pete
