Quite a few people say the HW100 is good. So's the EVO.

Myself and a mate regularly plink and hit a 6''x 6'' aluminium gong and old CD's at 100 yards with a TX200 mk2 & 3, HW97, HW99s & prosport. Most good quality air rifles should be good for this distance if its not blowing a gale.

most pcp rifles would do the job but I think the weihrauch hw 100 or the Air arms tx200 springer would be my choice.

Any of the Daystate models can do the business, Likewise the HW100 and the AA4** series are good With the AAS200 being the best of the Cheaper PCP's.
Springers are tx200 or Prosport,or HW97 or 77 smoothed and lubed and the LGV trio are probably the most used for this style of target shooting.

Question for myself lads Has anyone been using the one piece adjustable mounts, and if yes what are they like?? can you get enough adjustment to zero at 100 yards?? as I feel that packing the rear mount with shims for a springer is a big NO,because of the stress this put the tube under.
I have looked at specialised one piece mounts with built in compensation but they are made for Centrefire rifles, and would imagine would struggle to give an air rifle enough angle,I could be wrong on that but they are too dear to just buy without first hand knowledge just on the off chance they would work.

    Long Range Rifle

I use a 22 Career 707 for our 50 yard matches. The 707's design has been surpassed, but its strong points are a good barrel and magazine loading. It shoots Barracudas at 900 fps. On our windy range Barracudas buck the wind better then the other pellets I have tried. Our match format includes 4 strings of 4 shots in 30 seconds, and the 707 is the only repeating air rifle I have. My best scores with this rifle are as good as my rim fire at that distance.http://www.airgunbbs.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

It shoots well at 100 yards, but starts to shoot low after 10 or 12 shots and requires filling too often.http://www.airgunbbs.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

I use my Ripley AR5s out to 100 yards no problem , I do take of the MTC Genesis , and put on my Sightron 10-50x60 , and I use Shoot and See targets ( great point of impact view ) .
Preferred pellets H&N field target trophy , get pretty good groups on a six inch target.
My Airstream Mk3 works just as well , but prefers very calm weather.
Would like to use my new Milbro Matisse , but Chrono puts it at 9.7 ft/lbs , so runs out of steam after about sixty yards , will phone Milbro to find out what's going on on Tuesday - Wednesday .

Any of the mid/high end guns are capable if you get a good barrel/pellet combo, out to 60M my .177 MFR loves AA 4.52 8.7g passed that and out to 100M JSB 4.52 heavies 10.5 are awsome.

no two barrels are the same, some are better than others, what I tend to do is buy a barrel and try it, if it is better than the one I have I keep it and sell my old barrel, if not so good I will sell it on and get another.

    Hi,

Indoors or outdoors? Shooting connected to the bottle (regulated)?

Answers to these questions are important to give you some usable answers.
