I Think I'll Stop Collecting Air Rifles .

Coz to be honest, I've now got 16 nice guns of which I set out to collect and I dont really think I need any more !
Odd you may think but unlike some of you illustrious Gentlemen on here who have some fantastic and enviable collections, I'm happy with what I've got !
I dont really shoot them anymore apart from the odd "plink" in the garden or on permission land although I'll probably do more after I retire in four years or so, thats the plan anyway ?

So, all in all I'm pretty content with "my particular lot" but I wish everyone in "Kollectors Korner" all the best in their endeavours !

Anyone else feel the same ?

Said similar, then changed my mind, three times over the last year. You see there will always be that particular air gun that crops up that you didn't know you wanted until you see it for sale. Nope, like me and many others on here, you are DOOMED. You will buy more.

When I got back into the sport 6 years ago, I had .6 rifles in mind.

I've still got to find 2 of those, somehow I currently have 28 rifles and 8 pistols.

There is no cure to this affliction.

    Hi John

    Hope you're OK mate

I'm getting the urge again to sell off most of my guns and just keep a few, I think it's the Scottish situation and having the feeling that it's a pre curser to what will happen here

It may be other things too like having loads of guns and nowhere to shoot any of them

    Hey Ho!!

A few years back I decided to focus my collecting on antique firearms and therefore decided to sell airgun collection.

Guess what? In the last few years, not only have I managed to build a fair collection of antique firearms but I've also managed to build another collection of airguns too!

You see. There is no cure!

    Fully agreed. Sounds like me!

One day, a FWB 300 S WILL make it into the collection. At the moment I've got wifey softened up with the promise of a new cooker, so either a 99 or a 77, owned by old Walter up the road, will be in the cupboard before she gets the arse on!!

John the best thing to do with a daft post like this is to delete it, my friend. You'll only have to eat your words when an irresistible bargain turns up down the line. Others have made similar posts in the hope of stiffening their resolve (you know who you are, Alistair), only for their 'inner collector' to emerge at a later date.

No offence, by the way, I wish you luck, I really do.

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.

    Theoben Dual Magnum

Very rare. Apparently only 100 made. I have seen photo's of them but never seen one in the flesh. They are a classy looking gun. I hope you find one soon.

I find that being perpetually skint helps no end It's just frustrating.
The South of England has 2 good things, the M1 and the A1. Both will take you to Yorkshire.
