    Diopter sights on Falcon FN19

Hi guy's, I'm thinking of using my FN19 for 10 metre target shooting - nothing serious, just basically plinking for fun at 10mtrs. To do this I'm planning on fitting diopter sights. The rear sights are not too much of a problem, but I need to source a decent front sight!! Does anyone know where I might be able to get one from??

Didn't get any replies in 2012.

Anyone have any info on this as I have an old FN19 that I'm thinking I could do some 10m stuff with as well as my springer(s).

It depends how much you want to spend I guess.

For 10m 'target plinking' the offerings from Gamo (as fitted to the Air Arms S200T) would probably work, but you would need to do some fettling, probably getting a sleeve adaptor with a dovetail made up for mounting the foresight element tube (it can mount onto the barrel forward of the barrel support ring where the moderator adaptor normally goes)

I have an old Daystate Huntsman in a target stock with Anshutz sights on it for the exact same thing. It's been properly tuned down to 6 ftlbs, and for that you get more shots than I have ever been bothered to count (but you do have to fill it occasionally).

Edit: If you wanted to go slightly more 'up-market' I have used Centra foresight tubes before, and they are quality. These replies are like busses... wait two years and then two arrive at once!

Hi Brian give me a call matey, I will let you take a look at my Wolverine setup with diopters fitted. It's the best laugh you will have had with a rifle for ages.

Solware in Tamworth sell a set of front and rear dioptres for £49.00.

I will send you a PM with my number.

Many thanks for the replies lads.

Learningcurve ... BHodge posted the original thread 2 years ago. I dragged it up today as I had the same question and found his post in a search. He may not still be interested.

Flippin eck...(or even the more colourful phrase!!). I'm well confussed by this threads re-appearance!
I never did get a set of diopters, in fact I only had the FN19 for a few weeks before I sold it on.
Signed - bhodge, still alive and kicking in 2014.
PS, Les, your PM confussed me too mate, hope you're keeping well.
