    Webley Eclipse MK2 valuation

    Hi,

I have a Webley Eclipse MK2 Carbine which I am looking to sell, but I have no idea on an asking price. I have had the rifle from new and its in immaculate condition. Its around 18 years old and has only shot a few thousand pellets. The rifle comes with a Bushmaster 4-12 x 40 scope and bag.

Any help on a valuation would be appreciated.

I have included some pictures in my signature.

    Thanks
    Chris.

    Eclipse

    Hi,

I picked one up from a dealer in pristine condition with period scope for £230.

If selling to a dealer you should get £150 ish cash or a little more if PX, Selling private you should expect £200 - £250, The carbine is the nicer and more practical of the Eclipse rifles to use, (my opinion only)
Nice to see the open sights still on the gun,

Looking at the condition, I would suggest £250 is a good place to start.

With the price of new rifles being high then a nice example of an older gun will get a good price. £250 or even £300 wouldn't be robbing anyone. Over £300 and then there is a whole lot of competition from newer second hand rifles. If the rifle had have been hard used and bashed then it would be in the £130 park. Rifle with bag £240; scope and mounts £40. Thing is you won't get anything better for your £280.

Many thanks for all the responses, it's given me a good idea on a guide price.

Can anyone advise where would be the best place to advertise the rifle? Can I advertise on here?

    Thanks
    Chris.
