I have a .22 Alecto, I use it for 10yd shooting with the ordinary sights and for 6yd optical shooting with a laser sight situated under the barrel. It's an extremely accurate gun and any misses are my fault and not the gun, I also use it for very relaxing ally can bashing, as fast as I can get a pellet in the barrel. I only use one pump for normal use. It may be made of a modern plastic, but it ticks all the right boxes for me, modern plastics are used to glue aeroplanes together, bet you don't worry about that! I have small hands and I have no bother with the grip at all. My first serious air pistol, was a Webley Junior and they had awinner there along with the Senior, and the Alecto is up with them as far as I'm concerned. I have a Walther CP99 and that has plastic parts on it and that is a great gun as well.

I'm just about to buy one of these in the next few days, can someone tell me what is a good quality sight to fit, I'm not interested in scopes, either a red dot or good after market adjustable sight would be great cheers

    Alecto Pistol

I have a Walther laser sight fitted under the barrel using the weaver fitment, it's set at six yards and it's very accurate, the laser has a set of LEDs around it that illuminates the target, especially in poor light. The beauty, is that you can sight using both eyes, just put the laser on the target and hey presto, it's bang on, providing that your hand(s) are steady enough, that is!
I have the open sights set at 10yds and they are accurate as well, what I would like to know is, where do you get a longer barrel for them?

Cheers Dave, I see your post, but would like a basic red dot if possible, can you turn off the led's and just have the lazer on?
I've seen a thread on air gunner about getting longer barrels or here

    Alecto Adjustment

What do you actually do to alter the valve, do you have to screw it open or closed or adjust it in some other way, the video is not clear on that without an explanation, would appreciate the info.

Yes, the first touch of the switch is laser on, then LEDs on their own, then laser and LEDs together and finally off. The sight is a Walther FLR 650 and it's a nice bit of kit, well made and looks what you would get from Walther. I have a Sutter red dot on my Walther CP99 and that is a German made sight and it's the best one of those I have used, but that Walther laser is a brilliant bit of kit. Dave

    Smile Allecto Good Choice

I have had my Allecto for a couple of months now and I love it. I have fitted a reflex sight as others have done and also fitted a laser that I use for range finding at 10 yds. The Alecto is great fun, mine is straight from the box and is much more accurate than I am!

    Red Dot

I currently have a Bushnell Trophy 28mm mounted on my Alecto buy I have ordered a Walther MRS as it is quite a bit smaller and lighter than the Bushnell. I can stack them up with the Bushnell red dot at 10 yds. I hope that the Walther can do the same. The Walther has some good reviews.

[FONT=Comic Sans MS]I'm at my sons' at the moment and having fun with his Beretta, it's a nice gun to shoot, though it's quite heavy, but it has a lovely easy action: however, I had to Araldite the foresight back on as it had broken off when I opened the gun to put a mag in and it flew off as the slide sprung open, never seen that happen before, anyway it won't come off now! the vector optics 2x42 condor is very good red green dot scope i use them on my alecto;s very good even out to 30 yard i am 45 and my eyes arnt great the original sights are superb for 6 and 10 meter shooting, i only shoot bench rested, i hate to miss, the alectos are bad for fitting any sights to so i use 20mm to 20mm scope raising rail mounts but you will have to cut them down to fit easy job to do and they only cost 14 quid posted from thief bay. the alecto really is one of the best pistols made in the last 30 years beats all the weihrauchs hands down for power accuracy and price if i can help any more let me know thanks forest

Soon after I got the Alecto, I bought a BSA red dot sight, and it fitted perfectly on the top rail (just), it was a nicely made bit of kit, and it worked a treat, only problem is, that it is made of metal and quite heavy, no problem shooting two-handed, but single-handed, I was shaking all over the place, (I'm no chick, being in my 70th year), so I had to take the sight off, and either use the open sights or what I did was, to fit a laser underneath the barrel, a lot lighter and still very accurate at 6yds, I can use the open sights at 10yds, it is a great gun for ally can bashing as well as target shooting. If I miss, it's not the guns' fault but mine!
