    Scope recomendation for Edgun Lelya

So I have just got an Edgun Lelya, its a sexy, tiny little bullpup with a silly shot count and reputidely super accurate

I have initially been shooting it with a MTC Viper Connect, on paper it seemed the ideal for this little gun

However it is proving very difficult to get it "to eye" in anything other than bench resting, and it makes the gun top heavy creating too much sideways motion

So I tried a normal scope, the only one I had with weavers to suit is a Leupold VX3 4-14 with Varmint ret, a lovely scope but too much scope for this gun, it looks bigger than the gun

So I want a quality, small diameter, short, lightweight scope, with good glass and a fine ret with plenty of aim points

Something like a Leupold 3-9x33 EFR but the ret on this is just too plain for me - maybe could get new ret but this would prove expensive overall

Some have suggested Burris Timbeline but again the ret is plain and I cannot see any for sale in the UK

    Any suggestions please

A member of my club has an Edgun and he used a Bushnell 5-15x40 mildot on it. If that is too long then the Bushnell Elite 6-24x40 mildot -more expensive but if you can afford an Edgun it shouldn't be a problem-might fit the bill for you.

I'm very pleased with this, on my Skan: http://www.gunshopdirect.co.uk/optic...y-walther.html

Weaver base - Very fine multi-ret' that can be used black or illuminated.

    Restricted by 4X mag though...

Here it is on mine: http://i662.photobucket.com/albums/u...l/P1020249.jpg

    Any pics of your bullpup??

    Hawke Panorama EV 4-12x40

I prefer the map6 but they only do this in AO...if you go none AO you get half mil-dot

for the money these scopes are seriously hard to beat. I have the 4-12x40 AO map6 on a BSA R10 and the none AO 3-9x40 on a HW97, i actually think the glass in the 3-9 is better than the 4-12 but both are very very good.

There is a new UTG scope coming also (for sale in the US already) 3-9x32 AO, http://www.pyramydair.com/s/a/Leaper...3_8_Rings/4627 they are quoting 95% light gathering so it looks like they have stepped up the quality of the glass

If the ret is anything like their 3-9x32 bug buster ret it will be too heavy.

    cheers fellas

had a look at the Bushnells, all seem to big/heavy for given object size / magnification, they may be fitted to Matador not a Lelya (I have both )

like the look of the Burris Fullfield E1 3-9x40 with E1 plex ret problem is its fixed parallax

the Weaver one looks nice but is too low mak would like at least 9x

I will have a look at the Hawke stufff

I have had a couple of Leapers before the rets are always so heavy they cover the hole the pellet makes

thanks for the pointers fellas, keep them coming

    Too many chioces

had a look at the Hawkes like the look of the EV3-9x40 with the half mil dot, I just have a bit of a mental block with Hawkes all the ones I have looked throgh seem a bit "foggy"

The Nikons I am sure will have great optics but the Rets are awful for airgunning

The Simmons recommendation is too low mag

Rubbish, the BDC is one of the best rets I've ever used.

The dots on the ret are like mini apertures, so you can never blot the target, regardless of range or target size, ingenious. In fact they're perfect for target shooting too as almost every target will be a circle...
