Hello mate .

Hello all, My name is Keith.
I found this site trying to find some info on a rifle I just aquired.
Its my first rifle for over 15 years and I think I may have a few questions to post unless the search function does the trick.
Ive recently moved house to a small holding and had been thinking about getting an air rifle when a mate offered me a HW77, I have no idea of its age, its a bit tatty and needs some tlc but the price was right.
I probably shouldnt have bought the first rifle I saw but its a bit late now!
Looking forward to some expert advice on this very active forum.
Cheers,
Keith...

Welcome to the bbs Keith.
You can find the age of your '77 using T20's serial number list, click HERE and go to post #9.
They are a straightforward rifle to work on if you are so inclined.
Happy shooting.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys,
Thanks for the info 18 wheeler, it would seem mine is a 93 vintage (mk2 ?) so some tlc is in order for its 20th. I will be doing a strip down myself when I get a measure of things, I have found some great write ups on here. It has a sticker on the top that says "venomac", Im not sure if this has any relevance or if its just a random sticker.
Hi Steve, Im just up the road in Cellarhead.
Nice.
Venomac was Dave Pope and Ivan Hancock's ,Halesowen-based, tuning business between 1995 and 1998. Which would indicate your rifle was tuned after purchase. The company DNA continues in the form of V-Mach, there's some further information and a bit of history here.
Don't be tempted to remove the sticker, and when you take your her apart take a few photos of the innards. Hopefully it still contains the Venomac upgraded components and the members in the Collectable Airgun section will be able to give you some opinion and advice no doubt, should you need it.
All the best.
Thanks 18 Wheeler, great info again.
I will get over to the collectable section to pick brains.
Cheers,
Keith...
