    pistol /revolver

    on my fac i got black powder 44 pistol ,36 revolver question revolver/pistol are the classed as the same thing ?

    i thought they might ment single shot (pistol)and revlover 5/6 shot

    A revolver was formerly called a 'revolving pistol'.

    It depends

    Some revolvers are a sub-category of "Pistol" (e.g. Rogers and Spence), but some are not (e.g. a revolving Rifle or a revolving shotgun)

    Some Pistols are Revolvers, but there are Pistosl which are not revlovers (e.g. single shot, multi-barrel, semi-automatic, harmonica [I think Westlake used to make a one]).

    I believe that some Licensing Authorities interpret them to be different, some do not.

    What had you in mind when you asked for them to be added to your FAC?
