    But it is a Tanfoglio.
    Who do make real steel.
You can get one with a horse on it if you want.

No, its not - its a Taiwanese diecast metal copy made by a company who make softair
and if I did want one - I'd prefer either one like the OP's with nowt on it or preferably a WWII parkerised finish

It is a copy of the Tanfoglio Witness 1911 which is a real gun made by this well known Italian gunmaker.
Hence it has Tanfoglio on it.
Presumably copied under licence from them.

My main problem is spelling Tanfoglio.

Hi mate, I got them off the auction site, seller: 'unionjackairsoft'

They have a skeleton inside the rubber to keep their shape and give them strength, so need a small amount of modification to get them to fit around the CO2 bulb channel built into the bottom of the pistol grip/frame of the gun, it took about 10 minutes with the dremel to sand a channel out, very easy job. Then its just a case of screwing them in place. They need to be stretched just a little to fit both sides of the gun, buts no bad thing as you know they are tight.

I swapped the bolts out for new shiny hex types, again off the auction site, seller: 'mafanddave'.

I think they transform the gun, but getting rid of the really naff Tanfoglio engraving was a must so I simply used an offcut of a kitchen worktop that I have as its dead flat, and used some 320 paper to give a brushed effect, I didn't want a full polish as the casting isn't good enough to allow a totally flat and perfect finish. I also took the finish off at the muzzel end of the slide, just to finish it off. I didn't though remove it from the top of the slide, I've left this in the original grey finish.

The next job will be to drill a few small holes in the sights to create a 3 dot sight picture, they'll be filled with white enamel.

Glad you folks like the pistol.

it isn't- it's a copy of the COLT 1911. but KWC don't have a licence with colt, they have one with tanfoglio- that's the only reason it's branded as a tanfoglio witness.

I dont follow that at all.

    Lets take it slowly.
There is a company called Tanfoglio.
They do make a copy of the Colt called a 1911 Witness.
KWC make a model of that gun.

    Where have I gone wrong?

I am pretty sure that KWC also badge the same gun in 6mm as a
    Colt.
